Tiber Analytics

A New Way to Predict Student Success

With our analytics suite, we’re analyzing comprehensive data so universities can identify how students are performing in LCME-accredited classes and predict their potential… better than the MCAT.
Our medical education analytics platform provides a data-driven approach to evaluating pre-med students in preparatory programs, using comprehensive performance metrics rather than relying solely on GPA or MCAT scores. Our predictive tools help identify which MSMS and PostBacc candidates have the highest probability of medical school admission and success.
The Tiber Predictive Model for medical school admission started as a creation of Dr. David Lenihan. Together with a team of mathematicians and and a team of software developers led by Bryan M. Lenihan, the technology was implemented to collect and analyze years of student data. Now with the fine-tuning of machine learning our model has become more accurate in predicting student outcomes and USMLE Step 1 performance.

THE TIBER MEDICAL EDUCATION ANALYTICS SUITE FOR PRE-MED PROGRAMS

We do more than just predict how students will perform in medical school.
We also accurately predict how they will perform on their USMLE Step 1 exam.
Our analytics specifically target students in transitional programs (MSMS, PostBacc) who need to demonstrate their readiness for medical school beyond their undergraduate GPA. By analyzing test scores and performance metrics, we provide actionable insights that help both students and admissions committees.

TIBER PRE-MED PATHWAY ANALYTICS

Tiber's model is transforming how we evaluate pre-medical master’s students and improve the admissions process for medical schools.

By comparing students to years of historical student data, Tiber’s Analytics Model can  predict with confidence an MSMS student’s future performance on the USMLE Step 1 Board score.

Unlike traditional admission metrics that focus solely on GPA, our medical education analytics model identifies specific strengths and improvement areas for students in preparatory programs, creating a more comprehensive evaluation of medical school readiness.

TOPICAL GAP ANALYSIS

Tiber Analytics collects student exam responses to determine topical strengths and weaknesses in USMLE Disciplines, Systems, and LCME-accreditation standards.

The Tiber Gap Analysis models the student’s current level of understanding of the USMLE Systems and Disciplines as compared to past students that have successfully passed the USMLE Step One on their first attempt.

This analysis is  valuable for pre-med students in advanced preparatory coursework who need targeted improvement in specific areas to enhance their medical school admission prospects. By identifying knowledge gaps, students can focus their study.

VIDEO ENGAGEMENT

The MSMS includes a vast library of MD lectures to be consumed at home by students, and Tiber Analytics tracks how students are engaging with course content within the dynamic classroom.

Students, administrators, instructors, and partners all use this tool to view detailed video engagement statistics within the course.

Our medical education analytics platform captures engagement metrics as one of many factors in predicting student success in transitional programs, providing a more holistic view than traditional academic measures.

STUDENT FEEDBACK

Students are constantly updated on their performance in the MSMS and how our analytics are predicting they will perform in medical school.

Program Directors receive a monthly analytics report with student and class topical gap analysis, predicted Step 1 scores, and performance graphs.  Students have access to this data all the time, any time, within the Learning Management System.

This continuous feedback loop is essential for students working to improve their medical school admission prospects through advanced pre-med coursework, as it provides clear, data-driven guidance on improvement areas.

THE BEST MEDICAL EDUCATION ANALYTICS FOR PRE-MED ACADEMIC SUCCESS

There is a better way for medical schools to evaluate pre-med students than a single MCAT score. Tiber Analytics is bridging the gap with comprehensive student data.
Tiber's medical education analytics for transitional programs is intrinsic to Tiber Health's role as a leader in creating pathways to medical school for diverse students. We use an intuitive approach to evaluating pre-med students by collecting in-class quiz data and exam results from the same curriculum as the first year of medical school. This way, we can accurately predict student potential in medical school.

Our advanced analytics focus specifically on identifying students who may have had lower undergraduate GPAs but demonstrate the aptitude and skills necessary for medical school success.

HOW TIBER MEDICAL EDUCATION ANALYTICS WORKS FOR MSMS AND POSTBACC STUDENTS

Tiber Analytics works for students and universities so we can all keep educating culturally-competent doctors of the future with the Master of Science in Medical Sciences (MSMS) program.
Combining a dynamic classrom, machine-learning student analytics, and an accredited curriculum that mirrors the first year of medical school, the MSMS helps health sciences students take the next step toward their goals.
For students in preparatory programs looking to improve their medical school admission chances, our medical education analytics provide clear insights into their probability of success and specific areas for improvement.

Dynamic Classroom

Backed by state-of-the-art technology, our curriculum is delivered through in-class discussions and real clinical situations. Our-classroom experience focuses class time on areas where students need more attention to drive student interaction and comprehension

Live Data Collection

Student responses to in-class questions, homework, and exams are tracked to give detailed insight into their performance.

These data points feed our medical education analytics engine, providing a continuous stream of information that helps predict student outcomes in pre-medical preparation programs.

Discussion - Based Classroom

Online-based lectures means class time is spent in small group discussions to improve comprehension, communication, and critical thinking.

Pre-Med Pathway Medical Education Analytics

Our predictive medical education analytics for MSMS and PostBacc pathways are the key differentiator for students seeking medical school admission. By collecting thousands of student data points through student performance, our model accurately predicts student performance on the USMLE Step 1 Board exam and aligns them with their best-fit careers.

Predict USMLE Performance

Shortly after starting the MSMS, our student analytics model can predict USMLE Step 1 Board performance based on previously collected student data.

This predictive capability is critical for students in advanced pre-med programs who need to demonstrate their potential beyond their undergraduate GPA.

Identify Student Pathways

Detailed student performance analytics identify topical strengths to pinpoint what career or speciality is best for them.

For students in transitional programs who are uncertain about their medical specialty options, our analytics provide data-driven guidance based on their performance patterns.
